In Friday's league outing, the Jayton Jaybirds (Jayton, TX) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Patton Springs Rangers (Afton, TX), by a margin of 69-36.
The Jaybirds (19-2) will now prepare for their outing against Guthrie (Guthrie, TX). The Jaguars go into the 1A Region I District 5 outing with a 1-8 record.
The Rangers now own a 1-7 record. They play next when they travel to Paducah for a 1A Region I District 5 outing on Tuesday, January 31. Patton Springs will clash with a Dragons squad coming off a 56-33 league win over Motley County (Matador, TX). The Dragons record now stands at 19-9.
