The Prince Edward County Eagles (Farmville, VA) basketball knocked off the visiting Lunenburg Central Chargers (Victoria, VA), 61-42 in Friday's league test.
The Eagles (8-6) will now prepare for their test against Nottoway (Nottoway, VA). The Cougars go into the James River test with a 6-8 record. In their last test, Nottoway went down by Buckingham (Buckingham, VA), 51-31, in a league test.
The Chargers now own a 6-9 record. They play next when they travel to Appomattox Regional Governor's Arts & Tech for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 31.
