Lunenburg Central Chargers (Victoria, VA) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Prince Edward County Eagles (Farmville, VA), 43-39 in a league bout.

With the victory, Lunenburg Central upgrades its record to 4-3 on the campaign. The Chargers host Franklin (Franklin, VA) to play the Broncos in a non-league bout on Friday, January 6. The Broncos come into the bout with a record of 5-5. Franklin lost 52-37 in their recent non-league bout against Rappahannock (Warsaw, VA)

Next up, the Eagles play the Nottoway Cougars (Nottoway, VA) in a James River bout, on Friday, January 6. Prince Edward County will attempt to upgrade on its 5-4 season record. The Cougars come into the bout with a 2-5 record after their 64-42 league loss to Buckingham (Buckingham, VA).
