The Marmaduke Greyhounds basketball team (Marmaduke, AR), was nudged 55-52 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Rector Cougars (Rector, AR)
The Cougars now possess a 13-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Buffalo Island Central for a 2A Region 3 battle on Monday, January 30. Rector will confront a Mustangs team coming off a 60-32 league win over Earle (Earle, AR). The Mustangs record now stands at 13-10.
The Greyhounds (14-10) will now prepare for their battle against Cross County (Cherry Valley, AR). The Thunderbirds come into the 2A Region 3 battle with a 0-15 record. In their last battle, Cross County was nudged by Riverside (Lake City, AR), 69-15, in a league battle.
