The West Mesquite Wranglers basketball team scored 69 points and held the host Samuell Spartans to 5 in the Wranglers league triumph on Friday.

The Wranglers now sport a 16-14 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Mesquite for a 5A Region II District 12 contest on Tuesday, January 31. West Mesquite will battle a Stallions team coming off a 55-21 league win over Conrad (Dallas, TX). The Stallions record now stands at 14-16.

The Spartans (0-16) will now prepare for their contest against Adams (Dallas, TX). The Cougars go into the 5A Region II District 12 bout with a 2-17 record. In their last bout, Adams was crushed by Seagoville (Dallas, TX), 53-32, in a league bout.
