The Samuell Spartans basketball team (Dallas, TX), was overwhelmed 61-6 in Tuesday's league battle with the host West Mesquite Wranglers (Mesquite, TX)

The Wranglers now possess a 10-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Mesquite for a 5A Region II District 12 battle on Friday, January 6. West Mesquite will confront a Stallions team coming off a 39-23 league win over Conrad (Dallas, TX). The Stallions record now stands at 9-14.

The Spartans (0-11) will now prepare for their battle against Adams (Dallas, TX). The Cougars come into the 5A Region II District 12 battle with a 0-12 record. In their last battle, Adams was overwhelmed by Seagoville (Dallas, TX), 51-29, in a league battle.
