Georgia High School Basketball - Tift County nips Thomas County Central

Tift County Blue Devils (Tifton, GA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Thomas County Central Yellow Jackets (Thomasville, GA), 51-50 in a league bout.

With the win, Tift County upgrades its record to 14-4 on the season. The Blue Devils travel to Sumter County (Americus, GA) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 28. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 3-16. Sumter County lost 56-47 in their recent league bout against Fitzgerald (Fitzgerald, GA)

Next up, the Yellow Jackets play the Lee County Trojans (Leesburg, GA) in a AAAAAA Region 1 bout, on Saturday, January 28. Thomas County Central will attempt to upgrade on its 12-4 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 11-11 record after their 52-49 league loss to Veterans (Kathleen, GA).
