The Paulding County Patriots basketball team (Dallas, GA), was toppled 53-42 in Saturday's league battle with the visiting Douglas County Tigers (Douglasville, GA)

The Tigers now possess a 13-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Alexander for a AAAAAA Region 5 battle on Tuesday, January 30. Douglas County will confront a Cougars team coming off a 57-49 league win over Newnan (Newnan, GA). The Cougars record now stands at 19-2.

The Patriots (6-14) will now prepare for their battle against South Paulding (Douglasville, GA). The Spartans come into the AAAAAA Region 5 battle with a 14-7 record. In their last battle, South Paulding beat East Paulding (Dallas, GA), 63-52, in a league battle.
