Georgia High School Basketball - Paulding County knocked off by Douglas County

February 3, 2024: Douglasville, GA 30134

The Douglas County Tigers basketball team scored 65 points and held the visiting Paulding County Patriots to 56 in the Tigers league triumph on Saturday.

The Tigers now sport a 14-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host East Paulding for a AAAAAA Region 5 contest on Tuesday, February 6. Douglas County will battle a Raiders team coming off a 71-47 league loss to Alexander (Douglasville, GA). The Raiders record now stands at 8-16.

The Patriots (6-17) will now prepare for their contest against New Manchester (Douglasville, GA). The Jaguar enter the AAAAAA Region 5 contest with a 11-12 record. In their last contest, New Manchester ran past McIntosh (Peachtree City, GA), 54-40, in a non-league contest.
