Joseph Eagles (Joseph, OR) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Pine Eagle Spartans (Halfway, OR), 77-47 in a league bout.

With the victory, Joseph upgrades its record to 7-13 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Cove (Cove, OR) to play the Leopards in a 1A Old Oregon bout on Friday, February 2. The Leopards come into the bout with a record of 20-6.

Next up, the Spartans play the Pilot Rock Rockets (Pilot Rock, OR) in a 1A Old Oregon bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Pine Eagle will attempt to upgrade on its 2-19 season record. The Rockets come into the bout with a 6-13 record after their 56-42 league loss to Union (Union, OR).
