The Lumpkin County Indians (Dahlonega, GA) basketball knocked off the visiting Murray County Indians (Chatsworth, GA), 57-45 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Indians (11-11) will now prepare for their test against Pickens (Jasper, GA). The Dragons go into the AAA Region 7 test with a 15-6 record. In their last test, Pickens went down by Dawson County (Dawsonville, GA), 50-48, in a league test.
The Indians now own a 12-8 record. They play next when they travel to Haralson County for a AA Region 7 test on Tuesday, January 30. Murray County will encounter a Rebels squad coming off a 55-40 non-league loss to Bowdon (Bowdon, GA). The Rebels record now stands at 5-16.
