Georgia High School Basketball - Appling County ripped by Wayne County

The Wayne County Yellow Jackets basketball team scored 50 points and held the visiting Appling County Pirates to 22 in the Yellow Jackets non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Yellow Jackets now sport a 17-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Islands for a AAAA Region 3 contest on Tuesday, January 30. Wayne County will meet a Sharks team coming off a 50-26 non-league loss to The Habersham School (Savannah, GA). The Sharks record now stands at 0-12.
The Pirates (7-13) will now prepare for their contest against Toombs County (Lyons, GA). The Bulldogs enter the AA Region 3 challenge with a 5-12 record. In their last challenge, Toombs County bounced Twiggs County (Jeffersonville, GA), 54-17, in a non-league challenge.
