Union City Golden Tornadoes (Union City, TN) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Gleason Bulldogs (Gleason, TN), 44-35 in a league bout.

With the win, Union City upgrades its record to 9-12 on the season. The Golden Tornadoes travel to Lake County (Tiptonville, TN) to play the Falcons in a 1A District 14 bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 3-14. Lake County lost 77-43 in their recent league bout against South Fulton (South Fulton, TN)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the South Fulton Red Devils (South Fulton, TN) in a 1A District 14 bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Gleason will attempt to upgrade on its 9-7 season record. The Red Devils go into the bout with a 11-6 record after their 77-43 league win over Lake County (Tiptonville, TN).
