Nevada High School Basketball - Pershing County topples West Wendover

In Saturday's league outing, the Pershing County Mustangs (Lovelock, NV) basketball squad beat the visiting West Wendover Wolverines (West Wendover, NV), by a count of 43-27.

The Mustangs (20-1) will now prepare for their outing against Yerington (Yerington, NV). The Lions go into the 2A Northern outing with a 14-8 record. In their last outing, Yerington was topped by North Tahoe (Tahoe City, CA), 40-33, in a league outing.

The Wolverines now hold a 11-8 record. They play next when they travel to Battle Mountain for a 2A Northern outing on Tuesday, January 30. West Wendover will clash with a Longhorns squad coming off a 35-30 league loss to Coral Academy of Science - Reno (Reno, NV). The Longhorns record now stands at 13-10.
