The Chewelah Cougars (Chewelah, WA) basketball knocked off the host Davenport Gorillas (Davenport, WA), 46-34 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Cougars (11-8) will now prepare for their test against St. George's (Spokane, WA). The Dragons go into the non-league test with a 7-10 record. In their last test, St. George's notched a victory over Kettle Falls (Kettle Falls, WA), 45-39, in a non-league test.

The Gorillas now own a 8-12 record. They play next when they travel to Northwest Christian School for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 30. Davenport will encounter a Crusaders squad coming off a 59-42 non-league win over Reardan (Reardan, WA). The Crusaders record now stands at 18-1.
