The Chewelah Cougars basketball team scored 55 points and restricted the visiting Davenport Gorillas to 39 in the Cougars non-league victory on Saturday.

The Cougars now sport a 2-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Northwest Christian School for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 19. Chewelah will battle a Crusaders team coming off a 57-17 non-league win over Reardan (Reardan, WA). The Crusaders record now stands at 7-0.

The Gorillas (1-4) will now prepare for their contest against Manson (Manson, WA). The Trojans come into the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Manson prevailed over Soap Lake (Soap Lake, WA), 43-36, in a non-league contest.
