The Coalfield Yellow Jackets (Coalfield, TN) basketball crushed the visiting Wartburg Central Bulldogs (Wartburg, TN), 54-32 in Monday's league bout.
The Yellow Jackets now possess a 4-9 record. They play next when they host Maryville Christian for a non-league bout on Monday, January 27. Coalfield will play a Eagles team coming off a 80-33 non-league win over Paideia Academy (Knoxville, TN). The Eagles record now stands at 10-8.
With the loss, Wartburg Central falls to 7-8 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Oliver Springs (Oliver Springs, TN) to play the Bobcats in a 1A District 3 bout on Tuesday, January 28. The Bobcats go into the bout with a record of 9-11. Oliver Springs lost 56-50 in their recent non-league bout against Oneida (Oneida, TN)
