The crowd at Monday's league challenge between the East Poinsett County Warriors (Lepanto, AR) and the host Marmaduke Greyhounds (Marmaduke, AR), observed East Poinsett County's basketball team knock off Marmaduke by a score of 81-64.

The Warriors (16-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Buffalo Island Central (Monette, AR). The Mustangs come into the 2A Region 3 challenge with a 5-17 record. In their last challenge, Buffalo Island Central was knocked off by Rector (Rector, AR), 66-54, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Greyhounds encounter the Piggott Mohawks (Piggott, AR) in a 2A Region 3 challenge, on Friday, January 31. Marmaduke will attempt to improve on its 10-15 season record. The Mohawks come into the challenge with a 1-15 record after their 52-45 league loss to Cross County (Cherry Valley, AR).
