North Carolina High School Basketball - Manteo trounced by First Flight

January 27, 2025: Kill Devil Hills, NC 27948

The Manteo Redskins basketball squad (Manteo, NC), was crushed 85-39 in Monday's league battle with the host First Flight Nighthawks (Kill Devil Hills, NC)

With the victory, First Flight advances its record to 9-7 on the year. The Nighthawks travel to Currituck County (Barco, NC) to meet the Knights in a 2A/3A Northeastern Coastal battle on Thursday, January 30. The Knights enter the battle with a record of 10-7. Currituck County lost 63-56 in their recent league battle against Camden County (Camden, NC)

The Redskins now own a 5-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pasquotank County for a 2A/3A Northeastern Coastal battle on Wednesday, January 29. Manteo will meet a Panthers team coming off a 65-63 league loss to Hertford County (Ahoskie, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 5-8.
