In Friday's league match, the host Christian Brothers Purple Wave basketball team scored a tight 48-42 triumph over the Memphis University Owls.
In their next game, the Purple Wave face the Briarcrest Christian Saints (Eads, TN) in a Division II-AA West match, on Friday, February 4. Christian Brothers will attempt to move on its 22-0 season record.
With the defeat, Memphis University moves to 13-7 on the year. The Owls host Freedom Prep Academy (Memphis, TN) to face the Eagles in a non-league match on Tuesday, February 1. The Eagles enter the match with a record of 3-14.
