The Stanton County Trojans (Johnson, KS) basketball nipped the host Syracuse Bulldogs (Syracuse, KS), 57-52 in Friday's league test.
The Trojans (5-8) will now prepare for their test against Elkhart (Elkhart, KS). The Wildcats go into the non-league test with a 8-4 record. In their last test, Elkhart got by Moscow (Moscow, KS), 72-20, in a non-league test.
The Bulldogs now own a 5-6 record. They play next when they travel to Lakin for a Hi-Plains test on Monday, January 31. Syracuse will encounter a Broncs squad coming off a 61-47 non-league win over Goodland (Goodland, KS). The Broncs record now stands at 10-2.
