Texas High School Basketball - Sterling overwhelms Austin

January 28, 2023: Houston, TX 77048

Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Sterling Raiders (Houston, TX) and the visiting Austin Mustangs (Houston, TX), saw Sterling's basketball squad wallop Austin by a count of 79-31.

With the victory, Sterling upgrades its record to 14-4 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to Milby (Houston, TX) to play the Buffs in a 5A Region III District 19 challenge on Monday, January 30. The Buffs come into the challenge with a record of 14-11. Milby lost 56-54 in their recent league challenge against Madison (Houston, TX)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Sharpstown Apollos (Houston, TX) in a 5A Region III District 19 challenge, on Saturday, February 4. Austin will attempt to upgrade on its 4-14 season record. The Apollos come into the challenge with a 12-11 record after their 67-54 league win over Galena Park (Galena Park, TX).
