Texas High School Basketball - Austin overwhelmed by Sterling

The Austin Mustangs basketball team (Houston, TX), was overwhelmed 66-29 in Saturday's league battle with the visiting Sterling Raiders (Houston, TX)

The Raiders now possess a 4-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Milby for a 5A Region III District 19 battle on Tuesday, December 13. Sterling will battle a Buffs team coming off a 93-48 league loss to Madison (Houston, TX). The Buffs record now stands at 7-3.

The Mustangs (2-4) will now prepare for their battle against Galena Park (Galena Park, TX). The Yellowjackets come into the 5A Region III District 19 battle with a 1-8 record. In their last battle, Galena Park was overwhelmed by Sharpstown (Houston, TX), 69-39, in a league battle.
