Texas High School Basketball - Benjamin Davis edges Nimitz

The Benjamin Davis Falcons (Houston, TX) basketball nipped the host Nimitz Cougars (Houston, TX), 37-33 in Saturday's league test.

The Falcons (16-10) will now prepare for their test against Eisenhower (Houston, TX). The Eagles go into the 6A Region II District 14 test with a 10-17 record. In their last test, Eisenhower was tipped by Westfield (Houston, TX), 58-54, in a league test.

The Cougars now own a 17-12 record. They play next when they travel to Aldine for a 6A Region II District 14 test on Wednesday, February 1. Nimitz will encounter a Mustangs squad coming off a 63-61 league loss to Dekaney (Houston, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 8-19.
