In Saturday's non-league match, the host Shady Spring Tigers basketball team scored a good 85-65 triumph over the Fairmont Senior Polar Bears.
In their next game, the Tigers face the WestSide Renegades (Clear Fork, WV) in a Coalfield AA match, on Monday, February 13. Shady Spring will attempt to move on its 11-3 season record.
With the defeat, Fairmont Senior moves to 12-1 on the year. The Polar bears travel to Liberty (Clarksburg, WV) to face the Mountaineers in a Big Ten match on Tuesday, January 31. The Mountaineers enter the match with a record of 5-10. Liberty lost 54-41 in their recent non-league match against Oak Hill (Oak Hill, WV)
