The Gallatin County Hawks (Junction, IL) basketball knocked off the host Hardin County Cougars (Elizabethtown, IL), 54-41 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Hawks (9-13) will now prepare for their test against Carrier Mills-Stonefort (Carrier Mills, IL). The Wildcats go into the Greater Egyptian test with a 2-18 record. In their last test, Carrier Mills-Stonefort notched a victory over Galatia (Galatia, IL), 50-46, in a non-league test.

The Cougars now own a 5-15 record. They play next when they host Pope County for a Greater Egyptian test on Tuesday, January 31.
