In Saturday's league outing, the Mesa Vista Trojans (Ojo Caliente, NM) basketball squad nipped the host Penasco Panthers (Penasco, NM), by a margin of 54-53.
The Trojans (11-9) will now prepare for their outing against Mora (Mora, NM). The Rangers/Rangerettes go into the 2A District 5 outing with a 10-9 record.
The Panthers now own a 4-13 record. They play next when they travel to Questa for a 2A District 5 outing on Thursday, February 2. Penasco will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 55-26 league loss to Mesa Vista (Ojo Caliente, NM). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-18.
