The Mesa Vista Trojans (Ojo Caliente, NM) basketball crushed the visiting Penasco Panthers (Penasco, NM), 83-45 in Thursday's league test.
The Trojans (14-11) will now prepare for their test against Mora (Mora, NM). The Rangers/Rangerettes go into the 2A District 5 test with a 12-13 record. In their last test, Mora walloped Questa (Questa, NM), 61-11, in a league test.
The Panthers now own a 5-17 record. They play next when they host Questa for a 2A District 5 test on Saturday, February 18. Penasco will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 61-11 league loss to Mora (Mora, NM). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-23.
