Maine High School Basketball - Noble thwarts Sanford

The Noble Knights (Berwick, ME) basketball knocked off the host Sanford Spartans (Sanford, ME), 69-60 in Saturday's league test.
The Knights (6-7) will now prepare for their test against South Portland (South Portland, ME). The Red Riots go into the AA South test with a 12-3 record. In their last test, South Portland notched a victory over Bonny Eagle (Standish, ME), 39-38, in a league test.
The Spartans now own a 5-9 record. They play next when they travel to Scarborough for a AA South test on Tuesday, January 31. Sanford will encounter a Red Storm squad coming off a 86-82 non-league win over Edward Little (Auburn, ME). The Red Storm record now stands at 4-11.
