Northside Grizzlies (Fort Smith, AR) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Rogers Mountaineers (Rogers, AR), 72-55 in a league bout.

With the win, Northside upgrades its record to 12-9 on the season. The Grizzlies travel to Southside (Fort Smith, AR) to clash with the Mavericks in a 6A West bout on Wednesday, February 1. The Mavericks go into the bout with a record of 1-6. Southside lost 70-44 in their recent league bout against Fayetteville (Fayetteville, AR)

Next up, the Mountaineers clash with the Bentonville West Wolverines (Centerton, AR) in a 6A West bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Rogers will attempt to upgrade on its 5-10 season record. The Wolverines go into the bout with a 18-2 record after their 59-21 league win over Rogers Heritage (Rogers, AR).
