In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Jenkins County War Eagles basketball team scored a good 49-36 triumph over the Edmund Burke Academy Spartans.
In their next game, the War Eagles face the Montgomery County Eagles (Mt. Vernon, GA) in a A D2 Region 3 match, on Tuesday, January 31. Jenkins County will attempt to move on its 16-4 season record.
