Georgia High School Basketball - Jenkins County nips Edmund Burke Academy

December 17, 2022: Millen, GA 30442

Jenkins County War Eagles (Millen, GA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Edmund Burke Academy Spartans (Waynesboro, GA), 41-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Jenkins County upgrades its record to 8-2 on the season. The War Eagles travel to Metter (Metter, GA) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 20. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 1-4.

Next up, the Spartans play the Brentwood War Eagles (Sandersville, GA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 28. Edmund Burke Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 4-4 season record. The War Eagles go into the bout with a 5-3 record after their 51-14 non-league win over Georgia Military College (Milledgeville, GA).
