The Southwest Patriots (Macon, GA) basketball felled the visiting Rutland Hurricanes (Macon, GA), 52-36 in Saturday's league test.
The Patriots (7-12) will now prepare for their test against Spencer (Columbus, GA). The Greenwave go into the AA Region 2 test with a 11-8 record. In their last test, Spencer was beaten by Jordan (Columbus, GA), 54-47, in a league test.
The Hurricanes now own a 1-18 record. They play next when they host Jordan for a AA Region 2 test on Tuesday, January 31. Rutland will encounter a Red Jackets squad coming off a 54-47 league win over Spencer (Columbus, GA). The Red Jackets record now stands at 5-15.
