The Southwest Patriots (Macon, GA) basketball knocked off the host Rutland Hurricanes (Macon, GA), 43-34 in Friday's league test.
The Patriots (5-6) will now prepare for their test against Spencer (Columbus, GA). The Greenwave go into the AA Region 2 test with a 7-5 record. In their last test, Spencer notched a victory over Jordan (Columbus, GA), 78-44, in a league test.
The Hurricanes now own a 1-10 record. They play next when they travel to Jordan for a AA Region 2 test on Tuesday, January 10. Rutland will encounter a Red Jackets squad coming off a 78-44 league loss to Spencer (Columbus, GA). The Red Jackets record now stands at 1-11.
