The Our Lady of Good Counsel Falcons basketball team (Olney, MD), was nudged 60-55 in Sunday's league battle with the host St. Mary's Ryken Knights (Leonardtown, MD)
The Knights now possess a 10-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Archbishop Carroll for a DCSAA AA battle on Tuesday, January 30. St. Mary's Ryken will confront a Lions team coming off a 84-71 league loss to Gonzaga (Washington, DC). The Lions record now stands at 13-9.
The Falcons (5-18) will now prepare for their battle against Bishop Ireton (Alexandria, VA). The Cardinals come into the VISAA Division I battle with a 12-5 record. In their last battle, Bishop Ireton was nudged by Paul VI (Chantilly, VA), 80-58, in a league battle.
