In Tuesday's league contest, the host Sigourney Savages basketball team scored a big 67-37 triumph over the Belle Plaine Plainsmen.

The Savages (13-5) will now prepare for their contest against English Valleys (North English, IA). The Bears go into the South Iowa Cedar contest with a 4-16 record. In their last contest, English Valleys was trounced by Keota (Keota, IA), 80-43, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Plainsmen confront the BCLUW Comets (Conrad, IA) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, January 30. Belle Plaine will attempt to better on its 4-14 season record. The Comets go into the contest with a 2-14 record after their 76-22 non-league loss to Gladbrook-Reinbeck (Reinbeck, IA).
