The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Sigourney Savages (Sigourney, IA) and the host Belle Plaine Plainsmen (Belle Plaine, IA), observed Sigourney's basketball team overwhelm Belle Plaine by a score of 67-15.

The Savages (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against English Valleys (North English, IA). The Bears come into the South Iowa Cedar challenge with a 0-4 record. In their last challenge, English Valleys was routed by Keota (Keota, IA), 81-37, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Plainsmen encounter the North Tama Red Hawks (Traer, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 12. Belle Plaine will attempt to improve on its 1-4 season record. The Red Hawks come into the challenge with a 3-1 record after their 65-58 league win over GMG (Garwin, IA).
