In Tuesday's league contest, the host Ben L. Smith Golden Eagles basketball team scored a big 83-37 win over the Rockingham County Cougars.

The Golden Eagles (17-2) will now prepare for their contest against Dudley (Greensboro, NC). The Panthers come into the 3A Mid-State contest with a 11-6 record. In their last contest, Dudley smashed Atkins (Winston-Salem, NC), 87-49, in a league contest.
