The Douglass Indians (Douglass, TX) basketball crushed the visiting New Summerfield Hornets (New Summerfield, TX), 63-36 in Tuesday's league bout.
The Indians now possess a 12-15 record. They play next when they travel to Cushing for a 2A Region III District 22 bout on Friday, January 31. Douglass will play a Bearkats team coming off a 57-37 league win over Mt. Enterprise (Mt. Enterprise, TX). The Bearkats record now stands at 9-15.
With the loss, New Summerfield falls to 6-18 on the campaign. The Hornets host Alto (Alto, TX) to play the Yellowjackets in a 2A Region III District 22 bout on Tuesday, February 4. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a record of 17-9.
