In Tuesday's league contest, the host Tenaha Tigers basketball team scored a close 65-62 triumph over the Garrison Bulldogs.

The Tigers (24-7) will now prepare for their contest against Gary (Gary, TX). The Bobcats go into the 2A Region III District 23 contest with a 21-8 record. In their last contest, Gary nipped Elysian Fields (Elysian Fields, TX), 48-25, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Bulldogs battle the Joaquin Rams (Joaquin, TX) in a 2A Region III District 23 contest, on Friday, January 31. Garrison will attempt to better on its 6-11 season record. The Rams go into the contest with a 0-10 record after their 56-31 league loss to Beckville (Beckville, TX).
