In Tuesday's league challenge, the visiting Hooks Hornets basketball team scored a big 55-27 win over the New Boston Lions.

The Hornets (16-13) will now prepare for their challenge against Redwater (Redwater, TX). The Dragons come into the 3A Region II District 14 challenge with a 13-17 record. In their last challenge, Redwater trounced Queen City (Queen City, TX), 40-38, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Lions encounter the Liberty-Eylau Leopards (Texarkana, TX) in a 3A Region II District 14 challenge, on Friday, January 31. New Boston will attempt to improve on its 6-14 season record. The Leopards come into the challenge with a 29-0 record after their 72-58 league win over Atlanta (Atlanta, TX).
