Texas High School Basketball - Itasca routs Meridian

In Tuesday's league contest, the host Itasca Wampus Cats basketball team scored a big 57-23 triumph over the Meridian Yellowjackets.

The Wampus Cats (19-9) will now prepare for their contest against Bosqueville (Waco, TX). The Bulldogs go into the 2A Region II District 12 contest with a 18-5 record. In their last contest, Bosqueville smashed Crawford (Crawford, TX), 46-43, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Yellowjackets confront the Meyer Ravens (Waco, TX) in a 2A Region II District 12 contest, on Friday, January 31. Meridian will attempt to better on its 15-7 season record. The Ravens go into the contest with a 27-3 record after their 78-29 league win over Valley Mills (Valley Mills, TX).
