The Marquette Mustangs basketball team scored 71 points and limited the visiting McCluer Comets to 55 in the Mustangs league triumph on Tuesday.

The Mustangs now have a 11-2 record. They play next when they travel to Lafayette for a non-league game on Tuesday, February 4.

With the loss, McCluer falls to 0-18 on the campaign. The Comets host East St. Louis (East St. Louis, IL) to confront the Flyers in a non-league game on Thursday, January 30. The Flyers go into the game with a record of 10-13. East St. Louis won 51-36 in their recent non-league game against Gateway Christian (St. Louis, MO)
