North Carolina High School Basketball - Southeast Halifax routed by Weldon

Weldon Chargers (Weldon, NC) supporters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Southeast Halifax Trojans (Halifax, NC), 63-38 in a league match.

With the victory, Weldon advances its record to 2-9 on the year. The Chargers host Rocky Mount Prep (Rocky Mount, NC) to face the Jaguars in a 1A Tar Roanoke match on Wednesday, January 29. The Jaguars enter the match with a record of 4-9. Rocky Mount Prep lost 87-73 in their recent league match against Wilson Prep (Wilson, NC)

The Trojans now own a 2-14 record. They put it on the line next when they host Warren County for a 1A Tar Roanoke match on Friday, January 31. Southeast Halifax will face a Eagles squad coming off a 48-45 league win over KIPP Pride (Gaston, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 12-6.
