North Carolina High School Basketball - Lincolnton succumbs to Newton-Conover

January 28, 2025: Lincolnton, NC 28092

In Tuesday's league test, the Newton-Conover Red Devils (Newton, NC) basketball squad defeated the host Lincolnton Wolves (Lincolnton, NC), by a final score of 57-42.

Next, the Red Devils clash with the East Burke Cavaliers (Connelly Springs, NC) in a 2A Catawba Valley test, on Friday, January 31. Newton-Conover will attempt to upgrade on its 14-3 season record. The Cavaliers come into the test with a 18-1 record after their 60-41 league win over Bandys (Catawba, NC).

The Wolves (11-8) will now prepare for their test against Bandys (Catawba, NC). The Trojans come into the 2A Catawba Valley test with a 11-6 record. In their last test, Bandys went down by East Burke (Connelly Springs, NC), 60-41, in a league test.
