Georgia High School Basketball - Stewart County triumphant over Mitchell County

January 28, 2025: Camilla, GA 31730

The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Stewart County Royal Knights (Lumpkin, GA) and the host Mitchell County Eagles (Camilla, GA), observed Stewart County's basketball team overwhelm Mitchell County by a score of 67-41.

The Royal Knights (5-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Early County (Blakely, GA). The Bobcats come into the A D2 Region 1 challenge with a 13-5 record. In their last challenge, Early County trounced Randolph-Clay (Cuthbert, GA), 50-43, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Eagles encounter the Seminole County Indians (Donalsonville, GA) in a A D2 Region 1 challenge, on Friday, January 31. Mitchell County will attempt to improve on its 8-12 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 16-4 record after their 61-46 league win over Pelham (Pelham, GA).
