Georgia High School Basketball - Stewart County can't hold off Mitchell County

The Mitchell County Eagles nipped the host Stewart County Royal Knights basketball squad by a final score of 54-48 in Saturday's league outing.

Next, the Eagles face the Seminole County Indians (Donalsonville, GA) in a A D2 Region 1 outing, on Tuesday, December 17. Mitchell County will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Indians enter the outing with a 7-1 record after their 54-51 league win over Pelham (Pelham, GA).

The Royal Knights (2-5) will now prepare for their outing against Early County (Blakely, GA). The Bobcats enter the A D2 Region 1 outing with a 8-2 record. In their last outing, Early County was nipped by Randolph-Clay (Cuthbert, GA), 36-32, in a league outing.
