The Hornet (15-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Central Arkansas Christian (North Little Rock, AR). The Mustangs come into the 2A Region 5 challenge with a 1-22 record. In their last challenge, Central Arkansas Christian was tipped by Quitman (Quitman, AR), 76-20, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Warhawks encounter the White County Central Bears (Judsonia, AR) in a 2A Region 5 challenge, on Friday, January 31. Mt. Vernon-Enola will attempt to improve on its 17-11 season record. The Bears come into the challenge with a 5-21 record after their 62-26 league loss to Bigelow (Bigelow, AR).
