The Mt. Vernon-Enola Warhawks (Mt. Vernon, AR) basketball edged the host South Side Hornet (Bee Branch, AR), 42-41 in Tuesday's league bout.
The Warhawks now possess a 13-6 record. They play next when they host Jacksonville Lighthouse for a 2A Region 5 bout on Friday, December 20.
With the loss, South Side falls to 7-5 on the campaign. The Hornet travel to Barton (Lexa, AR) to play the Bears in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 19. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 11-0. Barton won 89-12 in their recent league bout against Hazen (Hazen, AR)
