In Tuesday's league outing, the host Estacado Matadors soccer squad scored a tight 4-1 victory over the Sweetwater Mustangs.

The Matadors (4-1) will now prepare for their outing against Pecos (Pecos, TX). The Eagles go into the 4A Region 1 District 2 outing with a 1-3 record. In their last outing, Pecos got by Sweetwater (Sweetwater, TX), 1-0, in a league outing.

Next up, the Mustangs play the Lake View Chiefs (San Angelo, TX) in a 4A Region 1 District 2 outing, on Friday, January 31. Sweetwater will attempt to improve on its 1-3 season record. The Chiefs go into the outing with a 2-6 record after their 6-0 league win over Big Spring (Big Spring, TX).
